Alexander Smith is the founder of Equity Marketing Strategies, a boutique content firm that helps public companies tell their story through powerful, investor-focused videos. With nearly two decades of experience in the small and micro-cap space, Alexander has worked with issuers across North America and abroad – crafting stories that cut through the noise and resonate with retail investors.
His journey began in Vancouver in the mid-2000s, where he quickly learned that most CEOs believe they’re sitting on the market’s best-kept secret. But the truth is, the market rarely listens to hype – it listens to credibility, vision, and clarity. Over the years, after sitting through hundreds of investor pitches and CEO presentations, Alexander developed a knack for identifying what makes a deal truly marketable—and how to bring that story to life through media.
Alexander’s expertise lies in communicating complex ideas through visually engaging, emotionally grounded content. From crawling through abandoned mines in Peru, filming deep inside Israeli tech-labs, to boarding jets bound for Japan or interviewing mining executives in remote Canadian camps, Alexander goes where the story is. Alexander lives in Chilliwack, British Columbia, with his wife and three children.
